Over 100 interns, counselors, supervisors, and support staff are welcomed annually to create a haven for kids seeking an inclusive summer camp. Our focus is on supporting appropriate and simplified social interactions, ensuring no one feels like the “odd one out.” Living on camp grounds is demanding, but the immeasurable impact you make in a camper’s life creates a fulfilling journey of personal and shared growth.

Representing over 100 professional fields, Starfish alumni excel in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, ABA, Youth Development, and more. Many credit Starfish for shaping their success, leading them to careers in teaching, mental health services, and advocacy for differently-abled individuals. We seek physically capable staff ready for outdoor activities in the summer heat, embracing the specific environmental realities of humidity, wind, bugs, and lake water for extended hours.
Our Support Staff at Camp Starfish are the backbone of our operation, ensuring smooth functioning of camp behind the scenes. From Nurses & Health Assistants ensuring well-being to Chef & Kitchen Staff providing nutritious meals, each role contributes to a nurturing environment. Our Office Assistant and Maintenance team also play crucial roles. Together, they ensure a memorable and fulfilling camp experience.
NURSE & HEALTH ASSISTANTS: Our dedicated health team ensures camper and staff well-being, overseeing health care and providing first aid. Nurses hold current RN, LPN, or NP licenses, while Health Assistants have 2+ years of healthcare experience.
CHEF & KITCHEN STAFF: Our collaborative kitchen team prepares nutritious meals and maintains cleanliness. Led by the Camp Chef/Kitchen Manager, they prioritize safety and quality in the dining experience.
OFFICE ASSISTANT AND STORE MANAGER: Our office assistant handles administrative tasks and assists with camp operations. They manage paperwork, handle camper mail, and support camp store operations.
MAINTENANCE: Site & Maintenance Staff ensure camp safety and cleanliness. They handle landscaping, minor repairs, and general upkeep to maintain a welcoming environment.
