The Hiring Process

Once you are ready and understand the potential commitment you are looking to make this summer, it is time to apply!
Once your application is complete, our Director of Staff Experiences will reach out with next steps! To help boost your application, we suggest logging back into your application and submitting your resume and “Getting to Know you Questions,” to well, get to know you before the interview.
In the application form, we request that you provide contact details for three professional references and one personal reference. These individuals will receive an email invitation with a link to complete a secure online reference form. We ask references to complete the electronic form within 48-72 hours.
After your interview, we will follow up with a 5 to 15 minute phone call for each reference to complete the reference check process.
It is courtesy to let your references know that we’ll be getting in touch. Please help us facilitate your hiring timeline by letting your references know how important it is for them to complete the form in a timely manner, as well as to get back to us once they are contacted for the phone follow-up.
Your 3 professional references should be completed by people who know you in a professional, leadership, child-care or academic capacity (coaches, work supervisors, teachers, internship preceptors or clergy are some examples). They can not be from friends, peers, RAs in your dorm, student officers in a club you belong to, coworkers, or anyone who can provide you with only a social/character reference. If you aren’t sure if a reference is appropriate, ask us!
The Interview Process
Our interview process can take place over phone or Zoom. When we are ready to set up an interview, our Director of Staff Experience will send an email with a link to schedule it. This is great as it sets up to your and our availability! Our interviews whether over the phone or Zoom can last from 15 to 60 minutes. There is no pressure during the interview and we understand nerves!
